Welcome to Three Oaks

Three Oaks distillery is located in Capel Hendre in the Amman valley, at the foot of the Brecon Beacons mountain range in south Wales. We pride ourselves in creating small batch premium handcrafted spirits. When you taste one of our spirits you are getting a drink that has been created with thought, love and passion. We may be small, but we have big plans, and our aim is to distil spirits that will intrigue and delight.

Who we are

Three Oaks was established in 2019. When setting out on this journey we quickly came to the conclusion that we wanted to produce a range of spirits that would become known for exceptional quality and merit.

The distillery was born from our journey with Zoo Brew, our real ale brewing division, and throughout 2021 we launched our core range of premium spirits. To make an artisan spirit we believe that we have to have full control of all aspects of the distilling process, from hand selecting the finest ingredients, to the final filtration process, bringing science and nature together to create something very special.

We create our own base spirits right here at the distillery and we see this part of the process as being key to our success. The perfect basis to create a range of spirits that we hope will excite the world. This inspired our motto ‘From Grain to Glass!’

Introducing our Premium Range

The aim of the distillery is to craft the finest spirits possible by undertaking all alcohol production in-house. All processes, including steeping the barley grist (to produce high quality wort) fermentation, distillation, filtration, and botanical/fruit infusion are all carried out on site at our facility. We carry out multiple distillation and rectification runs on all our spirits to produce base spirits with little or no harsh alcohols left, whilst retaining the natural undertones of the grain.

Premium Welsh Vodka

Our award winning carbon filtered vodka, hand crafted at our family run distillery, is made to our unique recipe from organic grains and local water that originates in the hills and mountains of Carmarthenshire. This mellow base spirit has its flavour and mouth feel refined by further distillation and rectification to create an incredibly smooth, pure vodka that has a clean and crisp taste, with notes of vanilla and malt. From grain to glass, all processes are carried out at our Ammanford distillery. Exceptional on its own or as a top shelf mixer in your favorite cocktails

Premium Welsh Gin

Our signature Welsh Gin is produced by the fermentation of malted barley, which gives a mellow base spirit that is then infused with the natural essences of juniper, coriander, cardamom, orange and grapefruit, producing a smooth and balanced gin with well-defined flavours and exceptional aroma. Zesty and sweet with a hint of spring blossom. From grain to glass, all processes are carried out at our Ammanford distillery. Exceptional on its own, in cocktails or with your favourite mixer.

Premium Welsh Dark Rum

Our Dark Rum starts with the fermentation of molasses and cane sugar, giving a flavourful base rum spirit. It is then carefully combined with the natural essences of vanilla and black cherry to produce a golden artisanal rum of exceptional flavour and aroma, rich and warm with vanilla cream notes. From Molasses to glass, all processes are carried out at our Ammanford distillery. Exceptional on its own, in cocktails or with your favourite mixer.
